Openings & Closings
Sometimes pool owners just need help getting their pool opened after a long winter, or closed after a delightful summer.
Lake Norman Pool and Spa is always geared up for these tasks when the time arrives, and although every situation is different, our crews can be there to make the job easy.
Openings
Although it is impossible to predict weather conditions, we are seeing many customers delay the opening of their pool later and later each year. The problem this creates is a very green pool when it is opened. We always recommend opening the pool prior to the water reaching 60 degrees, which is when algae will start to take over. For this, we encourage opening your pool around April.
A full pool opening includes removing and folding the cover, adding water, starting equipment, and adding a heavy dose of shock and algaecide. Price may vary depending on conditions.
Mid-Winter Service
However, if you still choose to open late or if you would just like to ensure an easy opening we would recommend that you consider using our mid-winter service.
Mid-winter service includes coming out to your pool, hooking up a self-contained pump system, adding a heavy dose of shock and algaecide, and circulating the water for an hour. While the water is circulating, we will blow off the pool cover and deck, and inspect the equipment and plumbing.
Closings
At the end of a long swimming season, it is very important to prepare your pool correctly for the cold winter. Whether you need a full pool closing, just the water feature or cleaner line winterized we are here to meet your needs.
A full pool closing includes adding a heavy dose of shock and algaecide, winterizing all the equipment, and installing the pool cover. Price may vary depending on certain conditions.
We recommend waiting until the water temperature is below 60 degrees, but it is best to wait as late as possible.
Weekly Cleaning
If you decide that all you want is to enjoy your pool or spa and leave the hard work to someone else, count on Lake Norman Pool and Spa to guarantee sparkling results. Our weekly cleaning consistent of pools that are inground and open all year round.
Our pool and spa maintenance program is second to none, with trained technicians arriving on a scheduled basis to handle all cleaning and chemical needs associated with your pool or spa ownership. These items include checking and balancing chemicals, vacuuming the pool floor, brushing the walls and steps, skimming debris from pool surface, cleaning out the pump and skimmer baskets, leaf blow the immediate pool decking area, check all equipment and backwash filter as needed.

Inground Vinyl Liner Replacement
Vinyl liners typically require replacement every 7-10 years. Lake Norman Pool and Spa partners with Merlin Industries to bring you the highest quality vinyl liners in the industry with one of the largest pattern selections.
Merlin liners are available in both 27 mil and 20 mil thicknesses of 100% virgin vinyl. All Merlin liners provide extra U.V. and antibacterial protection to look better and last longer.
